- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆New park manager plans to trap and euthanize any cats that are outdoors in the park. She is hiring Hoffman's Kennels to trap and kill them. Many of the cats are already spayed and neutered thanks to a caring resident and volunteers. A volunteer worked all summer to TNR (trap, neuter, release) the outdoor cats living in the park. This is not an effective or humane way to get rid of outdoor cats. In a short time the spayed, neutered, and vaccinated cats that were trapped and killed will be replaced with un-neutered, un-vaccinated cats and the cycle will repeat.By Alicia Hopkins, December 11, 2017
